I bought these for Flag Football. I came across the middle and got a knee to my thigh. I almost puked it hurt so bad. There was a bruise for a month and a knot for another. These shorts I feel should mitigate that from happening again. They fit as described.

The double-thick McDavid shorts are awesome, and offer great protection (I'm a football player). BUT as a substitute for lineman thigh pads, they don't quite reach down to my knees as far as I'd like. I do like that they wrap around almost all the way to my back. Also, the hip pads don't offer as much coverage as the traditional foam hip-pads.

BOTTOM LINE: I would still choose this over the normal pads for convenience sake. If you have the money for them, they are great.

Our son uses these compression shorts when playing high school lacrosse and likes them. They are compression shorts so they are snug and comfortable but also have the hex padding to provide the extra padding when battling for a ground ball or fending off the stick checks. He recommends these for everyone.

I had seen friends with different girdles playing and I wanted to jump on board with something that wasn't too bulky yet still offered the protection I wanted. This girdle is all of that and more. It fits great, is super flexible, and the hex pads offer surprising comfort and protection that I dont think you could get in another girdle of the same price. I highly recommend this product.

After 1 use, these are a great pair of shorts. They helped protect me when I took a hard fall on the basketball court. They are very comfortable to wear and even kept my legs warm while going to eat after playing. I am definitely considering getting another pair. Although these are the first pair of any padded shorts that I have purchased, they seem like a bargain considering they are only $5 more than the pair without the extended thigh.
