I got mine originally for my knees and it was a Large. When it got here it's only big enough for my elbows. I'll include the sizing for everyone's reference (from the back of packaging):

Size - Circumference
XS - 7.5-9" or 18-23cm
S - 9-12" or 23-31cm
M - 12-16" or 31-41cm
L - 16-20" or 41-51cm
XL - 20-23" or 51-59cm
XXL - 23" + or 59cm +

Comfort feels ok for my elbows but may return it to fit for my knees :)

Bought this for my oldest daughter who is in middle school. She is the center for her team. These pads are great and protect the knee well. They are not big or bulky like other knee pads. They stay in place and do wash. The first pair lasted over a year. This is my second pair and I would not get any other knee pad because they work so well. There are little hex shaped pads inside closely together to protect from injury. When she has fallen she no longer brusies. She says they are comfortable and she does not feel the impact of the floor. Because they have worked so well we bought them for our youngest and she equally likes them as well. They have a tight fit so when ordering take that into consideration. I ordered a large for my oldest and a medium for my youngest. I would recommend these pads to anyone who wants to protect the knee.

I bought these to use on my elbows when I play goalie for indoor soccer and they work great (used for about a year now). I'm almost 30 yrs old and have played for a while, picking up some minor nerve damage in my elbows along the way. I tried other pads but nothing works like these - they are really light, stay glued to your elbow, and provide great shock absorption. I've used them on field turf indoor surfaces, which isn't as hard as the basketball courts and astro turf I've played on before, but I think they would work well on those too. I have had no increase in elbow pain since using these; some other pads I've tried I would tweak my nerves just putting them on due to their fit and they quickly get shifted out of position, but not with these, they are perfect.
