McDavid Universal Shoulder Support

I hurt my right shoulder working out and eventually found out that it was a torn rotator cuff (via a MRI). Since it was going to be awhile before I could see an orthopedist I bought this to hopefully help give me some added support.

It does relieve the pain some.

I was concerned when ordering it that it would not fit, but the Velcro fasteners let you adjust it to fit comfortably. I still haven't seen the orthopedist, but I can honestly say that I'm glad I bought this device.

The only thing I could find at the local Durable Medical Supply store was a sling which was not acceptable to me.

I had a torn supraspinatus tendon. The Orthopedic surgeon decided to try treatment with corticosteroids and the shoulder brace. Two months later I can tell a significant difference for the better, both in range of motion and less pain.

I highly recommend this product to anyone in my same situation.

I play rugby for a women's team and I'm a forward. For those who don't know, the forwards are the hard hitting chicks that deliver just as many beatings as we receive. I had a sublux about 6 months ago and I've been wearing the brace for practice and games. It has saved my shoulder many times without restricting my movement too much. I got used to it really quickly too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is bc I wish it came in size small. I'm 5'9" and 140 pounds, and although it can be adjusted, the medium is a little big. Overall, this brace is amazing!
