Big, smoky, with twin engines and two aboard, gun nosed Phantoms roamed the skies of Vietnam in search of the enemy. Now, take a look under the skin of one of these monsters. Tech manual extracts, vintage photos, exploded view, etc.

The Greatest Jet Fighter In The History of Military Aviation,
By David Tandy (Dallas, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: McDonnell Douglas F-4 Gun Nosed Phantoms - Warbird Tech Vol. 8 (Paperback)
This is an excellent book on the F-4. Lots of technical info and lots of pictures of the F-4 in Vietnam. This book covers the F-4E and the last chapter covers the F-4G Wild Weasel in Desert Storm. The Phantom is the all time greatest jet fighter the United States military ever had. I also reccomend "Spirit In The Skies" by Jon Lake.

I received this book last year as a gift for Christmas. It was very informative and it taught me several things I didn't know. It has some great photos and drawings. I liked the color section. It has some good photos. Well, after reading it, I would recommend this book to ANY F-4 enthusiast!
