McFarlane Halo 2009 Wave 1 Master Chief

I planned on buying this figure for making stop motion animation movies. This means I needed it to be able to articulate well and be well posable.
Master Chief was just that. He was well articulated and had incredible detail. A slight flaw was that the hips were "unevenly" twisted but that was easy to fix by twisting it back. The drawbacks were the weapons. They broke immediately. I had just finished opening the package and was removing the bubble shield and the top part (of the bubble shield) twisted right off! So then I thought, "well at least I have the rocket launcher." I was trying to find a way for him to hold the gun when all of a sudden the handle broke off! I was disapointed then but later I used super glue on both of the weapons and they are as good as new now. But now I am cautious when moving the parts.

THis is the master chief i bought. the actual figure was very durable except that he got a small scratch on his visor. however, the bubble shield broke in half the second day i had him, but then again i wasnt being to gentle with it. however i handled the rocket launcher with care but the front holder broke off. it's also very hard to make him hold the rocket launcher like he does in the picture. other than that, it's a very good figure, very detailed, and if you want to get a master chief, i recommend you get this one.

i collect halo action figures so ive been needing a master chief.When i got him i was realy exited so i opened it and now i have kat,emile,noble 6/hazop airborne pack and master chief. but then his left hand fell of luckily i was able to put it back on. so handle it with care.

This toy is cool, no getting around that, after all it's a Master Chief! I purchased this and a combat elite for my 4yr old son. Realizing this is a little below the recommended age of 5. Many toys with similar recommendations hold up much better. Immediately the extended stock broke off the rocket launcher when my son was trying to figure out how MC should hold the weapon. That was day one. Day two, the legs separated from the torso, a glued repair that is so far holding. However the break made it apparent just how little was actually holding these two sections of the figure together. The bubble shield accessory is not very good, it's unevenly made and barely stands up. The figure is cool as I said, I gave it a 3 because I believe toy producers need to do a better job at making toys more sturdy.

altogether a great product but 5 minutes in the right foot broke off so i super glued it back together and the right foot joint was taller even before his foot broke and the right foot broke again so this time i shaved the foot joint and gorilla glued the foot back on and now it works great!:)

The bubble shield came broken in two and even when I glued it back together, it is not even--- it hardly stands on its own.

this toy was a very big surprise at first. because i got it as a gift for christmas . the toy ,in a short time, fell apart. and i am disappointed because i am a very big fan of the halo game. i do want more halo toys but,i think that the toys are to cheaply made and are very pricey as i have now looked on line and the prices are to high for the quality you get. they sure look though;) thank you for asking . jaydogg.

BUT, the armor DOES NOT come off.... this sets the Master Chief figs apart from the rest that have INTERCHANGEABLE ARMOR PIECES......

other than that inconvenience, it's a nice addition to your halo 3 fig collection!!
