3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
The Predator has always been one of my favorite characters in any movie. This figure captures his image in stunning detail. Unfortunately, it is not very well put together. The disc will not stay in the holder on his belt nor can he hold it well, and will the shoulder cannon stay up either - it gets caught in his dreadlocks. He cannot hold the spear - the most...

Since a small child, the Predator films have been some of my favorites and I especially thought the Predator from the second film looked awesome. I dreamed of a really awesome, detailed figure, but for years all I got were the Kenner ones which were fun, but not detailed, not true to movie and not articulated. McFarlane who is famous for creating some of the greatest detailed figures ever created this and it now is proudly displayed in my home. It is my favorite toy I own, I would say and it looks exactly like it's film counter part. Great to display in or out of package and the great articulation enables many different action poses and so on. However, I warn that this figure is not meant to play with. McFarlane's figures are very fragile and especially the small parts can break off easily. Don't give this to your kid...display it with pride because it's one of the best around!

Don't get me wrong...this is a really great looking figure. Unfortunately it has very little to differentiate it from the other figure released in the Movie Maniacs 6 series. Some of its features include an open-mouth head, as opposed to the other figure with a closed mouth/mask. Its wrist compartment on the left arm opens up, and it includes a spear accessory, which the other figure did not have. The detail on this figure also seems to be alot better.

The problem with this figure mainly comes from the spear accessory...it is by far the flimsiest and most delicate accessory i've ever seen. It doesn't fit into the position indicated on the packing (which would've been a great pose). It breaks very easily, and no matter which position you have the Predator in, it looks like he's trying to break the spear with his bare hands because it bends so much. The pole arms don't stay out because they are so loose. They always retract back into the grip.

That's the only real gripe with the figure, otherwise its a great looking piece, of somewhat identical to its counterpart. Nevertheless, its worth having in your collection. I only wish that instead of releasing two vesions of one creature, McFarlane Toys would've produced a different type of figure, namely the elder Predator seen at the end of the film Predator 2.

I was in a toy collector's shop today in New Jersey and ran across this astonishing figure. While they had 2 other Predators from AVP-R, THIS was the one to get.

I was very happy finding it and it's going to look even better displayed on my shelf!

This Predator Figure Beats all others. The detail is insane. If you look closely in his eyes you can see his human prey. His skin is very real and his armor looks like its fresh from the forges. Delicate and super Detailed dreadlocks hang over the back of his head. His weapons are detailed and very cool. This predator figure comes with a smart disc that hooks to a holster on his left thigh. He also has a spear that extends six segments, three on each side, not conting the center part where he holds it.He has a shoulder caster that folds up and then out to come over his shoulder. His last weapon is a wristcomputer/timebomb that folds up to reveal alien buttons. This figure has no helmet but his front jaw is wide open.

Dudes, this collectible is so awsome, some people complain about the spear but its pretty good, the trick is to make his hands grip the ends of the big fat center, i mean why would one of the predators hold the staff right in the middle? It looks akward. And also, the arcticulation might be too much, but I like it! It gives it not only style, but also gives it much good poses. When you get it, some parts might be flimsy, but you'll end up with a cool action figure after playing with it later on. Oh yes, My only complain is that the arm flap for the self destruct thing is too flimsy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reiview on Predator, not Predator the Hunter. Got it?, November 28, 2003

This reiview is not about the Predator the Hunter, it is about the Predator that they refuse to show you online. This Predator is what the Predator looked like before Danny Glover took his helmet off. He comes with a disc, the same kind of shoulder rocket, wrist blades and a removeable helmet. You can see it on Spawn.com instead of toysrus.com.

What kind of idiot would buy a Predator from Movie Maniacs 6 and not play with it!Now let's not get of the point.Predator the hunter comes wit more than a dozen points of articulation and is spear comes with six points of telescoping action.Predator comes with blades on his wrist,a laser rocket on his shoulder,a bomb on is right forearm when all else fails and of course, his trusty
spear. He is helmetless with an open mouthed faced. The pant job is near perfect and more durable than you would think and he also has a throwing disc that can fit in his hand and in a holder
on his leg.The Movie Maniacs series 6 is very much more detailed
than the Movie Maniacs series 5.He also comes with his trophies
with the Movie Maniacs logo on it.I suggest the you se the movie
predator 2 starring Danny Glover and Gary Busy. The movie is rated
R for language and blood/gore violence.Se you at the movies and stores!

He cannot hold the spear - the most prominent weapon he comes with - and he can certainly not even form the pose shown on the box. The spear is flimsy and does not stay extended. Hell, I can barely get him to stand on his own. Unless you're a big fan of the series I'd pass on this.

I just got this toy and it's great! The Spear is actually six telescoping segments... you could just sit there and make the segments go in and out for like a half hour. The Predator also has a wrist blade that can slide in and out of his armor and a wrist computer padthat can fold in and out. The only problems with this figure is that the spear segments can pop off the rest of the spear, but its easy to fix. I also don't see whats educational about a Predator. But besides that, this figure's awesome!
