I have to say first off, I got this figure at a Gamestop along with a Corporal Hicks figure for $2 a piece. They got them and they weren't in the system. I picked up 2 of each.About the figure, I ditched the base right away. The figure is highly detailed and extremely posable. Mcfarlane's level of detail is terrific. I have not encountered any arms or legs popping off but the metal bars on the feet do pop out of their sockets but they pop back in - easy fix. I will say to keep it away from cats and kids by keep it where little hands and paws can't get to it. I actually watched my cat with Robo's leg in his jaws drag poor Robo off as a kill. Also be careful because the Auto 9 pistol can be lost very easily.

Okay, I'm a huge RoboCop fan and I've been wanting this McFarlane figure since it came out I just kinda missed out on it during the very brief period that it was in the stores and then after that the ridiculous price hikes and collectors markups, well you get it. It took me a long time to finally buy this guy. Well I finally had the spare cash and wanted to do something nice for myself and this was one of the first things that popped into my head, I purchased it from a seller here for about %700 more than what it would have cost brand new at a shop, but that's cool, you're not gonna find a RoboCop figure like this anywhere anymore, even though NECA has been re-releasing all the best of the McFarlane Movie Maniacs like Terminators, Aliens and Predators they still haven't tried to put out a RoboCop, So this is as good as it gets in terms of high quality and highly detailed action fig of Robo and either way I would rather have the McFarlane version of anything NECA puts out anyways, their figures, in my experience have been kinda wonky.Okay, anyways, about the figure it's self, I've read some reviews about legs and arms falling off and I'm generally not the type to leave something in it's package unless it's well enough displayed in the package and with this particular figure I just couldn't resist opening it and enjoying all the detail and craftsmanship that was put into it. This figure is very articulated and can make a lot of poses, I'm sorry about one of the previous reviewers luck because I haven't had any problems or issues with fragility, this is a very heavy and sturdy feeling figure. The only problems I have with it are that the helmet is not removable nor does he come with an interchangeable head for an unmasked look. Now I've owned every RoboCop toy there's been since I was about 5 years old and most of them always had a removable helmet. No biggie but an interchangeable head and opening on the leg to place the gun would have been really nice, the paintjob is beautiful colorshift that at some angles makes him look bluish and at others a flat silver, this is the type of thing you would have noticed with it sitting in a package on a shelf somewhere. The only other complaint I have is that the gun is just a cheap little piece of soft plastic that has a seemingly permanent curve in it because of the way it was packaged. Considering it's the ONLY accessory it comes with I would have expected TMP to put a little more detail and effort into the gun, but oh well. This thing is awesome for guarding your bookshelves, computer desk, or in my case my video game cabinet. I'm very happy with this figure and I'll never give it up.

I've had two of these and both broke where the leg meets the torso. I dropped the first one from a hight of 2 feet onto carpeting and the right leg broke off. The other one had the left leg break as I was taking it out of the package (I'm always careful when removing action figures). The figure looks good, but they need to be more durable.
