I agree with everything Jonpaul from Oregon says.
This is the one we've all been waiting for - sculpting, details; everything is 100% on.
A couple of specifics to add - While the Elite is more "poseable" than the Arbiter, he's still at about the same level as the Brutes. This means no "crouch jump," or total upper body articulation, but who cares...
Also, the hands are fairly tailored for the enclosed plasma rifles, so certain weapons may prove awkward to hold. I noticed that each rifle's handle is curved to better accommodate its particular hand designation. Remove the pegs, grab a small tool for prying and apply some force. Both of mine proved pretty sturdy for the process.

All in all, a tremendous upgrade in comparison to other brands' Elites, and a sign of continuing quality from MacFarlane. Not a hint of disappointment.

Even though I just got this Elite Action Figure, I could already tell that the detail of the figure is just mind-blowing. It is obvious that there is a great deal of effort put into it. The helmet is removable. The shoulders and chest armor can also be removed. Take note that the pegs are small so you should be careful not to lose it. Lots of articulation. It is a very good action figure. I do suggest buying one of these. Oh yeah I dont seem to be able to find the hole on the figure's leg to put the weapon on.

I have been waiting for this figure to be released since April. It is everything I was hoping it to be, and more. The removable helmet is key to my satisfaction. I'm in the process of making a Elite costume, so this 3d model is very helpful. The detail is amazing, and he is very durable. Even though the hands are posed tightly gripped, they come apart enough to get the rifles into his hands. Clearly, a must buy for the Halo fan.

Just received this and one of the Master Chief variants.

The Elite is really detailed and quite nice.

The only downsides I have found with it are:

1) The fins on the rear of the plasma rifles are fragile, if you drop it or the toy falls over, be sure to anticipate those fins getting broken/compressed.

2) You can only store one of the rifles on the toy at a time. I can only find one peghole on the back. In order for the character to hold the rifles in his hands, you need to remove the holding pegs. Quite easy to lose that small piece of plastic.

Otherwise, a good toy and looks good.

As a huge Halo fangirl I would say that the figure was great and very nicely detailed , infact it looks exactly like an Elite , unlike the Halo 2 Elites , they're faces were way different than the normal Halo 2 model in the game, but I would've liked the Halo 3 Elite figure more if it was taller like the Halo 2 figures , I just find 6 inches too short. i would have loved it if it was at least 11 inches. But overall , It's a fantasic figure for hardcore Halo fans and collectors.

The detail is great, and just in case you didn't know, the helmet, shoulder pads, and chest piece are removable. The kid I gave this to thinks it is the greatest thing. The only qualm I have is the range of motion in the legs isn't great, but still, if you want action figures this is the way to go.

I recently purchased the Blue HALO 3 Elite and I must say it's the best figure so far. Extremely detailed, sturdy, stand well, and has cool weapons and armor! Also, I don't know if some know this or not but there is ANOTHER ELITE!!! It has a red / white multiplayer paint design with the same weapons, etc. But I think that will be a rare figure so make sure to look for some now before they disappear!

The main pro of this figure is that it has two guns, which happen to be Plasma Rifles, my favorite weapons. The figure is quite detailed and posable. However there are some issues with the helmet. For whatever reason, the mold was messed up and the peg that goes into the Elite's head is slightly off, so the helmet is crooked. It's not that big of a deal unless you look closely. Also, the hands are extremely hard to open to put weapons in, and it is nearly impossible for it to hold two-handed weapons. Newer Elite figures have better hands, which are softer and can bend more easily. I actually had a new elite figure that I was returning for defects, so I switched the hands before returning it, so now it has better hands. The helmet, shoulders, and chest plate are removable and interchangeable with other elites. If you want to switch the helmet with another type of Elite armor, you'll have to pull off the entire head, since other Elite helmets are completely closed. If you're just switching with other Elite Combat figures, just pull off the helmet.
