MacFarlane toys came out with the KISS Alive figures and was a huge success and now even more. These creatures are from the Dynasty/Unmasked era. Gene is a the greatest figure of the 4. You can move his body, his legs, turn his boots, his arms, his fingers, and his body leaning down and up. Gene is the most flexible and most durable. Buy this for any KISS toy collector.

Wow... this set is the best yet. The costumes are from the Dynasty era and whats best is they finally have included Eric "the Fox". The authentic guitars have also been included the Iceman, Genes Axe and the Les Paul, each with actual strings. The packaging is slick and any fan would buy two sets ... one to play with and one to put away. You wanted the best ...You got the best... KISS!

I've collected each set of Kiss figures by McFarlane Toys and have been really pleased with them all, but this set takes the cake. For starters, they're modeled in Kiss' most dynamic and colorful outfits, so they're visually stunning. The face sculpts seem pretty accurate as well, especially the Gene Simmons figure. I gave it four out of five stars for a couple of reasons. One, I think each figure should have included a piece of the drum kit so it would be complete (as was done with the Metallica set). As it is, with only a set of toms, the Eric Carr figure resembles a Carribean steel drummer rather than a rock drummer. This is an easy fix if you have parts of drum kits from previous Kiss sets, though. The only other thing - and this is a big beef of mine with McFarlane - is the total inability to pose the figures. They look great, but there's so little articulation. So, like the "Alive" set, they're really statues and not action figures. I would love a fully poseable set sometime in the future, but who knows? At any rate, this group of figures comes highly recommended by yours truly. By 'em, TAKE THE OUT OF THE PACKAGING, and set them up for a unique and - for a Kiss fan - beautiful display. As for "playability", most of us Kiss parents know that our kids like get in on the action. My seven-year-old son is no different. He likes to set up little stages in his room and pose the figures with Kiss cd's playing in the background -- and has a blast doing it, so the lack of articulation doesn't seem to bother him. Great, great, great set of figures. Where were these when I was a kid?

The bass isn't accurate, at least in the pics. The pics show a left Kramer Axe bass, not a right handed. Hope they fixed this.
