McFarlane Toys 6" LOST Series 1 with sound & props - Jack

A very detailed figure form MacFarlane toys. The base is Polyresin and its heavy and feels solid. I think the figure is some kind of plastic but it feels and looks good and not plasticky at all. The base needs ot be assembled with parts of the debris and the insert points have certain shapes to to whihc pieces fo debris attaches to. Its fun assembling it. The background is cardboard and has unfinished back, so it doesn't look great on a ledge where you can view from both sides. The cardboard is mounted on plastic supports that attaches to the base. I would advise care when assembling. The audio part is a black box that attaches to the base too via the plastic support and this is behind the background cardboard. Needs 2 AAs if I remember it right. There is a small push button that triggers the voice and there are 3 dialogs that play alternately. Attaching the figure to the base was difficult as the attach points are not proprly aligned. I broke the polyresin peg while trying to remove and reattach. Thats the only gripe I have about the product.

I bought all the figures available for Lost and now the show is history I am glad I have them. Maybe a movie in the future??? The sound is great.

Jack,Jack,Jack. At first when i only had enough money to buy only one figure i had to choose between Jack,Charlie and Locke....I went with my favorite character on the show....Jack(duh). Boy that was a great decision. Not only does this figure have one of the best liknesses in the LOST series,(third only to Locke and Eko) but it also has the most posability(he can move his arms up and down!!!yay!)His feet slide into the displaybase(which is also cool) via some plastic bar, it could probably break easily so watch out. This is a MUST HAVE figure for any LOST fan, whereas characters like Kate,Sun,Shannon and Jin dont really need to be bought characters like Locke,Jack,Eko and Sawyer are must buys, because of their importance to the show. GET THIS FIGURE.

There is very little likeness between this figure of Jack Shephard and Matthew Fox the actor who played him on LOST. The facial expression is kind of ridiculous with his mouth hanging open and I don't think we ever saw him make that face in the "Pilot" episode. The lack of instructions on how to put the display together is also a problem.
If I didn't like the show so much I probably never would have gotten this figure. On the plus side, once the figure is assembled it looks cool. The background is nice, the detail on Jack's suit and the base are excellent, and the box plays the sound clips loud and clear. It's a display only figure (nothing action about it) and for the fan who has bought all the other figures already.

I am a real fan from lost series me and my wife,we realy are lost,and she favorite is JACK ,tht's why i GET THIS TOY FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR HER SHE LIKE JACK,we love the show n all episodes now my family watch it WOW. We love every toys brand from McFarlane he is doing a great job well I'M LOST NOW. PC

You must assemble this product, and one of the figure's feet does not fit into the hole provided for the foot. So, you will see the foot with a long prong sticking out. Also, the back drop "painting" does not attach to the base of the figure. The audio box is too large to fit under the base, so you must set it off somewhere to the side.

None of these issues are the fault of the seller. These were made back in 2006 and everyone I have spoken to who owns this product has the same problems. If you are buying this to collect and keep in the box, then great. If you are wanting to display it because you are a hugle LOST fan like me, then you may want to consider purchasing the "Sawyer" or "Kate" figures instead.
