5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy that fits perfectly in any Simpsons collection
I was very pleased when this toy finally arrived. The Blue Devil is removable and semi-posable (his arms move). He is the same size as the Simpson figures from the Playmates line of toys, so I feel like he was made with collectors of those figures in mind. The Homer donut-eating action doesn't always work correctly--the mouth and donuts aren't correctly synchronized,...

2.0 out of 5 stars good idea-doesnt work
derive your pleasure from this by looking at it, because if you try to use it you will be vastly dissapointed. the doughnuts dont fall in homers mouth, you have to turn a little crank and it slips out of gear all the time, very sad-but the toy itself looks pretty cool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simpsons Ironic Punishment, April 23, 2006

This is the best toy yet from McFarlane toys! I wouldn't say it's a statue, because the blue devil is kind of a toy. (the devil figure come's off, and it's easy to attach back on.)
Anyway, it's a toy representing the treehouse of horror episode where Homer is sent to hell for a day, and forced to eat all the donuts in the world. (for him, it wouldn't be a very good punishment!) This is a must have for ANY simpsons fanatic! Oh, and if you like this, then check out the next simpsons boxed set: THE SIMPSONS COUCH GAGS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just one of the funniest scenes ever, September 16, 2008

This was a must have for me as I have watched the Simpson's ever since the piolet. I loved the scene just because the blue demon gets so frustrated with Homer's ability to eat "All the doughnuts in the world". Funny stuff and a great display item. It really is a conversation piece.

Watch out for the plastic poles holding the doughnuts up when you take it out of the package, they are fragile.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just great, September 16, 2008
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

It is a wonderful collectible and one of the funniest moments in the simpsons series to me. It's a shame that the doughnut feeder doesn't work, I start to turn the the little handle and then it kind of gets stucked, suddenly a click can be heard and the next turn all the little doughnuts go flying everywhere. It isn't much of an issue though since I just want it as a display rather than a action figure.

This is a really cute toy, but it is not very durable. As I was taking the toy out of the packaging, one of the donut holders fell off and broke. However, it really works and Homer eats the donuts with amazing ease. The donuts are really small so watch out if you have small children! The donuts sometimes miss his mouth so make sure you are watching for them to fall on the floor or table.

Not really a toy so much as affordable art from the show, I loved this scene so I wanted to get the statuette. Great cartoon-accurate detail and paint. Only problem is the individual donuts are really tiny and will get lost if you're not careful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat toy, July 13, 2007

I got the toy and opened it as soon as I could. It took me a minute to figure out how to open it cause the box opens on the sides instead of on top. Once I got the main part out, it took me a good 10-15 minutes to release the wires that hold the toy in the box. Anyway I got it all unwrapped and it worked so well. I tried to show it to my mother and all of a sudden it no longer worked well...in fact it didn't really work at all. I tried it again by myself and it still didn't work as well. Homer didn't eat most of the donuts and the devil kept falling off. Those donuts are so little it was hard to find them when they don't go into Homer's mouth. An hour later and I'd already lost a donut. This toy is really more for show or for the collector than it is for actual use but its still a really neat toy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good reproduction piece, not really a toy, June 15, 2007

I don't really collect action figures/toys, and I am certainly not one of these people who buy them in twos (one for playing, another for collecting). In fact, I just bought this on a whim.

The donut feeding gimmick is what it is, a gimmick- it's kinda fun and cute the first couple of times, especially seeing Homer's mouth move and his legs wiggle- then you realize those little donut pieces are real easy to lose and the donuts don't fall into his mouth half the time.

However, it looks and feels great. McFarlane line of toys are usually consistent in terms of look from what I've seen, and this one certainly don't disappoint. If you are a Simpsons fan, put this on your desk and bask in its glory for years to come.

Oh, and the blue devil comes off from the set, so you can set him up separately.
