McGee and Me, January 30, 2010
This review is from: McGee and Me : Twister & Shout (#05 Video) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As much as I grew up with the McGee and Me christian-based family program, it really helps children to bring their intentions onto facts of life and putting their faith into God. For anything that teaches children about believing in both Jesus and God, this series is a good one for children to watch.
For ones who don't know this series is about, it's about a kid name Nicholas (Nick) Martin and his cartoon friend McGee on different adventures and/or obstacles. At the beginning of each episode Nick reads a story in his bible and afterwords he and McGee experience similarities to what he just read in the bible. From topics like dishonesty, to pride, trust, heroism, fear, and to many other topics of stories that are in the bible that are common in modern day life.
This one, "Twister and Shout" I watched the most since I use to own this on VHS before my family and I wore it out. All thanks to this episode, it's made me feel prepared and cautious for any severe storms like thunderstorms, tornadoes, or any other kind severe storm that exist in my home state of Nebraska. Most importantly, for myself, having faith and believing in God.
Since this series was released from both Focus on the Family and Tyndale House Publishers, I think that them two companies should create more christian-based programs for parents and children alike to watch together.
One person that I do have to thank for introducing me to this christian-based series is my grandmother, Carol. "Thanks Grandma. And God Bless."
