I bought this unit to replace a worn out floor pad. I use it as a foot rest & warmer. Works just fine. Gets as warm as any foot warmer I have used. Seems to be durable. Has a power/mode switch on top with a power indicator light. I haven't had any problem with accidentally turning it off or on with my feet. It has self adjusting feet inside which adjust the tilt angle from the maximum to level. There are no funny smells when the plastic warms up.

I have only used the foot rest function so far, but it is terrific! SUPER warm at just the medium setting -- even through shoes but not too hot without shoes. The pivoting quality makes it comfortable to rest your feet on at different angles. Size is just right -- not too big.

I have a home office in the basement and it's cold -- even when using a space heater. I finally realized that it was my feet on the cement floor that was keeping me from warmth. This heated footrest make all the difference.

Although this product serves the purpose of heating my feet, I am disappointed in the overall quality and functionality of it. I think it is too light in weight because it continuously falls over when I have it on the "radiator" position. And to be honest, it does not work all that well to warm up my area under my office desk. I'm still freezing. I think in the winter I will break down and get a low noise heating fan, so at least I get some air flow.
