This book has lots of material all under one cover. There are lots of problems for reinforcing the concepts taught in the examples and the difficulty level increases as progress is made through the book. I do wish that it would have a little more lengthy explanation and a few more example problems when a new concept is taught, but all in all, it does the job of covering the math needed to succeed on the math part of the GED test.

I've been teaching GED classes for 10 years. Most of the class time is spent reviewing math skills. This book has everything in it that the students need to know and it's much smaller than the complete GED books. My students tell me that they really like these books.

This book was too vague to really explain anything worth learning. It would just start to get into an area that was on the test and wouldn't take that next step.

I bought this book for my husband and he did pass on the first try at 31 years old, but he didn't really use much from it. He found reviewing multiplication flash cards was really the key to passing the test.

If you are looking for help with the math portion of the GED test, don't bother buying this book. Invest $3.00 in some flash cards from Wal-Mart!

It is a study guide but not a very good one. It doesn't go step by step on how to solve or workout a problem. It tells you what to do to solve a problem but not HOW to do it. I thought the CD would be a copy of the book but it was just more practice tests. I purchased the book to help me study but I had to throw it aside in frustration and just pull out a high school text book on Algebra I since it was easier for me to use.

SIMPLY STATED....ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS ON MATH SUBJET OUT THERE RIGHT NOW!!! ALMOST A YEAR AGO I WAS COMPLETLY HOPELESS ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO MATH, I CAME ACROSS THIS BOOK AND IT CHANGED EVERYTHING, IF BY ANY MEANS YOU DECIDE TO BUY THIS BOOK REMEMBER THIS "YOU WANT TO LEARN" ''RIGHT??'' THEN WELL! YOU NEED (TIME)...THIS BOOK IS NOT A NOBEL, A SHORT FICTION STORY, NOR A POEM, YOU-NEED-TIME! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE TIME THEN DON'T BUY IT, THE BOOK IS GREAT, IT'S A TALKING TEACHER-BIG TIME RECOMMENDED. GOOD LUCK

This item so far has taught me a few thigs about math that I'll need to know for my GED test. Since reading this book I feel more confident in taking the test now.

I was hoping to be able to order this for Kindle, but you cannot read some of the tables and the font will not enlarge using the feature designed to do this. This probably works better if you have the DX, but I would not recommend for regular kindle. Sadly, I will have to order this in a regular book format.

Purchased as a review for upcoming GED exam. Very helpful refresher, easy to work with.

THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. TIM TOOK IT TO A LOCAL TECH COLLEGE TO GET HIS GED AND THEY SAID IT WS COMPLETE AND THOROUGH. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT VALUE
