McGraw-Hill needs better proofreaders., March 3, 2007
This review is from: McGraw-Hill's 12 Practice SATs and PSAT (McGraw-Hill's 12 Practice Sats & PSAT) (Paperback)
I used the math sections of this book to prepare for my SAT. In my opinion, McGraw-Hill needs math teachers to proofread its review books. In one set of three math sections, I found six errors in their proofreading and had to rescore my test six times. I had my father go over these questions as well (he is a graduate of Columbia University's School of Engineering) and he agreed that the book was wrong. On one question, the correct answer wasn't one of the answer choices, yet they had a choice in the answer key and the correct answer in the detailed explanation. For another question, the question itself and the detailed answer section were inconsistent. In yet another case, two questions were reversed in the answer key (#13 was #14 in the key & vice versa). And in a fourth case, there was a typo in the question which made it impossible to come up with a definite answer. These errors aren't ones that you're likely to catch unless you go back to the answer key and redo the questions again and again. If you want the trouble of redoing everything to make sure that the book isn't wrong, go ahead and buy this book. If you just want to prepare for the test, use a different publisher.

Not exactly on par with the review book by the same authors, February 5, 2007
This review is from: McGraw-Hill's 12 Practice SATs and PSAT (McGraw-Hill's 12 Practice Sats & PSAT) (Paperback)
Well, frankly, i dont like this book AT ALL. THE PRACTICE TESTS ARE NOTHING LIKE THE REAL ONES BY ETS. It's funny with the CR section where the right answer stands out like a magic ball among a bunch of OBVIOUSLY dumb choices. You bet you can never find such thing in a real SAT.
In a nutshell:
DONT BUY IT. trust me...If you want cruise through the same frustration and regret i have using this book, go ahead and buy it.
