I am very pleased with this book. It assumes you have a basic knowledge of Spanish, but is still thorough. Provides useful phrases and words for outpatient care. Some spanish words only have pictures with them and no translation accompanying them...so you occasionally need to look words up online or in a dictionary. Overall, no complaints.

This is a great book for health care staff and physicians. It enables you to be able to communicate enough to get through a basic patient exam and understand how the patient is responding. It is a great 'crash course' in Spanish.

I've been using this book for tutoring a medical student. It has worked wonderfully. The breadth of terminology has been great. This book is really geared more toward the medical practitioner and not the front desk person. While it has a lot of good material that can be used universally, the material seems to be really geared to performing examinations and asking questions that the doctor or nurse would ask. It will help the administrative person, but there could be a little more help with questions that the receptionist would be asking. That being said, it has worked wonderfully for what I am doing and my student has been very pleased with what she has learned from using it.
