This is a great bag. Just got it, March 13, 2006. Dont know about durability because its new, but it has the material and construction to last a while.

There are 6 outside pockets. 3 on each side and all are covered and use velcro to close. The 2 shorter sides have a total of 4 mesh, open pockets.

I bought several of these bags as give aways when the price was low. The construction is sturdy and the bag material is durable. The color of the bag was blue and not red as shown. Decent bag but should not cost more the $25 to $30 as an average retail price.

PS: Their electricians bag has been outstanding.

On the inside, there are pockets gallor. Over ten interior pockets on both sides of the bag (5 or more pockets on each side). On each side, one of the interior pockets has a velcro flap and about 4x6 inches. Also, the pockets are bellowed/gusseted so they have give. They are not flat-sewn to the backing or small to fit screwdriver shafts. Rather, they are larger and can fit pliers etc.

The bag comes with a shoulder strap and is quite heavy. The only bad thing about the bag is that it is heavy. And if you live in Hawaii, no free shipping.

Otherwise, its a great bag and for 25 dollars, cant be beat.

The McGuire-Nicholas Cargo Bag could more appropriately be called a 'Cargo Carrier'. The bag could transport a small army of tools ... or an entire week's worth of food for Paul Bunyan's Mighty Ox, Babe. Sturdy construction means it isn't lightweight. Now, if it just had wheels it would be perfect. Both my McGuire Nicholas 16" Universal Tote and McGuire Nicholas 8" Electrician Maintenance Tote fit together inside this one bag and I can zip it closed! In my opinion, depending on what tools you plan to carry, this could get mighty heavy to lift.

If you have Paul Bunyan tools and a good back or good tools and a Paul Bunyan back than this is the bag for you. As for me, I will be using my bag to store away the larger odds and ends items like my portable fan and small heater as well as other items whose boxes I have long since pitched into the recycle bin. My bag came in blue instead of the red but I can live with that. Just thought I should mention it so you won't be disappointed if your bag arrives on your doorstep sporting a different color than you had planned on receiving. ~ The Boss

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Man Luggage, June 7, 2006
This review is from: McGuire-Nicholas 22325 24-Inch Cargo Bag (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a great bag for tools. If it's good enough for tools then its good enough for anything else. My wife liked it so much she suggested buying another one even if just using it for luggage. I was ordering a tape measure with some other things when i saw that this bag came with a free tape measure. I cancelled my order for the other tape measure and ordered the bag and ended up only paying an extra $6 for this bag. Best deal ever. The bag and tape measure was 14.99 with super saver shipping.

Two Thumbs Up for a great Deal!

All I can say is that this is a Very Nice Large Bag for $14.99 and the addition of the Stanley 25' tape measure as a bonus gift for Free makes this a deal that is almost impossible to turn down......

I can't adequately express how pleased I am with this bag. It's well-made, has lots of room and pockets - now they're adding a Stanley tape measure to go with it - all for under $15!! I just ordered 4 more sets for Christmas presents.

I have this and a couple of the other McGuire-Nicholas bags and am very happy with them. They are very well made and have plenty of little storage pockets inside and around the outside, as well as the large center opening. Amazon frequently has these on sale at a great price.

Works great and holds a lot of stuff. Almost too much as it gets pretty heavy if you fill it up. Overall, it seems well made and well worth the price. I don't cart my tools around much anymore so the bag has now been turned into a range bag for my guns and ammo. Works great for that as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Large Capacity, September 27, 2008

This is big enough to carry a loot of tools. The construction is sturdy, every pocket seems to be rip proof. There are also some pockets inside the bag. Has a shoulder strap, with a velcro closure to for the handles. Bottom has a rigid support to keep it from sagging while you are carrying it.

My biggest gripe is that the zipper cannot be closed without using both of your hands. The outside pockets flaps does not close enough to secure what is inside.
