4.0 out of 5 stars Great for indoor "Honey Do's"
It's put together like it will take some abuse. Like most tool belts, it needs a break-in period before it will conform to the shape of your tools.
Personally I would have liked the hammer hook on the right side - 1. because I am right handed, and 2. you run the risk of jabbing your hand on the pen/pencil as you slip the hammer in the holster. It also has a pocket...

3.0 out of 5 stars kind of cheap but it works
not something I would use at a job site, but it works fine to keep a spare belt for use around the house, or to lend to the neighbor.

Personally I would have liked the hammer hook on the right side - 1. because I am right handed, and 2. you run the risk of jabbing your hand on the pen/pencil as you slip the hammer in the holster. It also has a pocket for flashlights, but nothing bigger than a AA Mag-light will fit in it.
It's great for light duty around the house, especially if you need another set of hands, don't have a "gofer" or if have a curious little brat wanting to get into your toolbox while you are at work.

5.0 out of 5 stars every handyman should have one, October 16, 2006

I use mine for temporary storage of this project's tools. It's easier to reach down and grab those pliers without looking than bending down to the floor, and I always can find my pen, box cutter, and tape. I didn't realize how much time I spent switching out tools or the aggravation it caused: if you don't get this one, get another. But you can't beat the price on this one.

I initially thought it was too small, but the pockets expand, and I've found that I can load it to where the belt becomes uncomfortable. It's not the most durable one in the store, but it quickly conformed to me, and for my weekend projects it should be more than sufficient.

In the picture, the sleeve with the cat's paw is less than useful, and - just like the hammer loop - probably will only fit your cat's paw. I tried cramming my combination square in mine but ended up constantly jabbing myself in the side. Also, I wish that the hammer loop were slightly smaller so that my maglite wouldn't fall through.

Except for being designed for you right-handed DIYers, this is a great product, a great value. Lefty

This is a good belt, so I thought. I used it several times until the buckle kept coming undone. I finally gave up when I it came off while I was on a ladder 12 feet off the ground. I threw it out for safety reasons.

Bought this belt for all the "honey-do's" around the house. This is a pretty well built belt with room for a hammer, nails, level, etc. Only wish is that the pockets were a little deeper to hold stuff without falling out if I am wearing the belt and lean over to pick up something off the floor. But otherwise, it comes in real handy to get the tools from the garage and take them to whereever in the house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Size For Each Job, August 28, 2009
This review is from: McGuire Nicholas 72489SBT 5-Pocket Handyman's Tool Pouch (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is the second one I have owned. The last one lasted five years. It is the perfect size for each job, i.e elctrical, carpentery, patching, plumbing, since you only carry the tools for that specfic project. I do this for a living and got tired of lugging around a pouch full of tools I wasn't using. Now I only load what I need and get less fatigued. The new one seems be made out of stronger material than the last but it's black. Great item!

Its not fancy, its not perfect, but it does do the job. Its not so huge as to intimidate the smaller DIY either. I bought two, gave one to my son in law for his birthday and used the other myself. They work.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Tool Belt for Lefties, October 31, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: McGuire Nicholas 72489SBT 5-Pocket Handyman's Tool Pouch (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this for myself having never owned or used a tool belt in my life. It worked great until someone pointed out that the hammer hook was on the wrong side! Sheesh! So, I swung it behind me and viola! Problem solved. My lefty niece LOVES it. The pouches are easy to reach into because they doesn't collapse when you reach in nor does it dump everything out when you bend over. The tool slots are a good size for most items and the belt clip holds without being to difficult to open. I have since bought myself a fancier leather tool belt but this one still feels like a favorite pair of jeans whenever I click it on.
