In his second book FRANK MCKINNEY'S MAVERICK APPROACH TO REAL ESTATE McKinney provides a very clear and easy to follow roadmap of the steps he followed to reach the level of success his twenty year career in real estate has produced. There are no hidden agendas in this book. Frank McKinney is not a "get rich quick" guy. McKinney advocates a realistic approach that applied consistantly over time will produce positive results without the high potential for negative financial consequences found in most get rich quick books. McKinney is a highly credible, not only does he talk the talk, he walks the walk! Frank McKinney's income is from doing actual real estate transactions, all net proceeds from his book sales and related engagements benefit his Caring House Project Foundation charity. I am a highly experienced real estate investor and found a great deal of useful information in this book, yet it is written in a way that it will benefit the beginning investor as well.

This book is mostly a feel good generic motivation book. Very VERY short on specifics for making money in real estate. There are many other books that are much better for both beginners and experienced investors. Reading this book was more like reading a magazine article than a tutorial on McKinney's successful methods.
I give McKinney his due for what he has accomplished. But the "approach" referenced in the title is a mental philosophy not a step by step methodology.

First, let me be clear that I am a huge fan of Frank Mckinney. Not only for the books he has written, but for the charity work he does for the homeless around the world. I received Frank's 2nd book just after the 1st of the year and couldn't put it down. I actually went back and read most of it a 2nd time before writing this review. It is easily the best real estate book I have read by far. It truly takes the reader from those first little $50,000 junk homes that Frank began his career with, to the new $100+ million home he is now plannning. I felt that this book had a tremendous amout of pratical application. Plenty of meat and substance. I now have the road map to get from my first investment deal to the million dollar home I want to do in the future. I strongly encourage you to read this great book and refer to it often.
