In his second book FRANK MCKINNEY'S MAVERICK APPROACH TO REAL ESTATE McKinney provides a very clear and easy to follow roadmap of the steps he followed to reach the level of success his twenty year career in real estate has produced. There are no hidden agendas in this book. Frank McKinney is not a "get rich quick" guy. McKinney advocates a realistic approach that applied consistantly over time will produce positive results without the high potential for negative financial consequences found in most get rich quick books. McKinney is a highly credible, not only does he talk the talk, he walks the walk! Frank McKinney's income is from doing actual real estate transactions, all net proceeds from his book sales and related engagements benefit his Caring House Project Foundation charity. I am a highly experienced real estate investor and found a great deal of useful information in this book, yet it is written in a way that it will benefit the beginning investor as well.

This book is mostly a feel good generic motivation book. Very VERY short on specifics for making money in real estate. There are many other books that are much better for both beginners and experienced investors. Reading this book was more like reading a magazine article than a tutorial on McKinney's successful methods.

I give McKinney his due for what he has accomplished. But the "approach" referenced in the title is a mental philosophy not a step by step methodology.

First, let me be clear that I am a huge fan of Frank Mckinney. Not only for the books he has written, but for the charity work he does for the homeless around the world. I received Frank's 2nd book just after the 1st of the year and couldn't put it down. I actually went back and read most of it a 2nd time before writing this review. It is easily the best real estate book I have read by far. It truly takes the reader from those first little $50,000 junk homes that Frank began his career with, to the new $100+ million home he is now plannning. I felt that this book had a tremendous amout of pratical application. Plenty of meat and substance. I now have the road map to get from my first investment deal to the million dollar home I want to do in the future. I strongly encourage you to read this great book and refer to it often.

Wow, McKinney overdelivers again! My copy of this book is dog-eared & marked up with a ton of highlights and underlines! I have been in real estate a long time & McKinney reveals never-before-heard marketing secrets & strategies in his Maverick book that will definitely help me stand out from the competition in marketing & selling my commercial and residential properties quickly.

This is a MUST READ for Realtors, Investors and Homeowners who want to sell their properties quickly and put their best foot forward with prospective buyers. ALL of the outlined strategies and processes that McKinney uses to sell multi-million dollar homes can be used for 5- and 6-figure homes too. There is no difference except for the zeros! He goes into painstaking detail about what he does to prepare and market his mansions and even provides copies of internal documents & checklists his staff uses!

This must read book is an awesome opportunity to learn from one of the best marketers (and real estate investors) of our day. Don't hesitate to buy this book now and study it carefully like a textbook. There are a ton of gems and words of wisdom in there that will make you refer to it over and over again!

Reading this book is better than going to some expensive bootcamp or marketing seminar because we are learning from a guy who is a doer a million times over in so many ways! I also read his first book, Make It Big, several times, and strongly recommend that one too.

Mr. McKenney's credo has to be (to paraphrase Dan Kennedy about how to be successful in businss), "look at what all your competition is doing, and do the exact opposite". In addition to being a wonderful follow-up to McKinney's first book "Make It Big", this book gives a virtual roadmap of how to succeed in producing and selling anything, whether it be your own home or a $125 million spec luxury home (McKinney's current project). Those of us who have been around real estate for a few years know that most folks in the business have a couple of bad habits. (1) They are driven by their payday, not the customer's needs, and (2) there are few leaders; most follow the herd into the abyss. McKinney's philosophy is the opposite to the real estate norm. He demands you understand your customer, understand your property, and leave nothing to chance. In fact, this book is a great road map for succeeding in any business or in life. Now-if we can just get the big boys at Chrysler, Ford, and GM to read and understand McKinney's philosophy and execution, there may be an old-line domestic auto manufacturer left in the U.S. If you want improve your business (any type), buy the book new (to support McKinney's Caring House Foundation), and execute like he does.

Frank McKinney's book is EXCELLENT! This book is for anyone getting into real estate investing and for experienced investors that want to grow their business to the next level. It is a how-to-guide to earning real estate profits by using Frank McKinney's Maverick formulas to find undervalued real estate with "GREAT PROFIT" potential. You have to read his success story that explains how to become "VERY SUCCESSFUL" the Maverick way of life! Another motivating point...is that both of Frank McKinney's best seller book profits go toward helping the world's most desperately homeless people...building whole villages of "hope" worldwide...may God Bless his efforts and the ones who help!

Another motivating and inspiring book to read! - "Make It Big- 49 Secrets For Building A Life Of Extreme Success"- By Frank McKinney

This is the best real estate book I have ever read. Frank shows you step by step how he went from fixers to multi-million dollar estates. After reading this great book you will know how to become a REAL ESTATE SUCCESS.

This book is for anyone just getting into real estate investing and for the experienced investors that want to grow their business to the next level. I am tired of the "No Money Down - No Work Reqired" real estate gurus that seem to be everywhere. All I want is a quality book on real estate that can show me how to succeed, realistically, at any level of real estate investing. This book is what I have been looking for and I was pleasantly surprised when I finally read that you can create wealth in real estate, but you actually have to WORK to achieve it. If you are willing to work hard, sweat, take risks, and do the right thing for people, the profits will follow. My favorite part of the book are the chapters on negotiations, and financing/partners...this seems to be what holds most investors back from becoming big players.

Interesting and contains some good ideas - but his "maverick" label quickly becomes too cheesy as does the so-called "Frank McKinney way" in a very high risk business involving millions of dollars on specuolation that a tiny percentage of the reading population will ever have access to. It comes close to self promotion.

For anyone looking to become a SUCCESSFUL real estate investor, this book is a must read. Frank is someone who walks the talk, and the book is both practical and REAL! From creating your own market, to the P.T. Barnum marketing tactics this book is a gem from start to finish. The added bonus is Frank's advice on living a life, and leaving a legacy you can be proud of.
