5.0 out of 5 stars McKlein USA Briefcase
The bag was all that I expected and then some. I was somewhat skeptical at first because of the reviews stating that the bag was small on the inside but I found it to be exactly what I need. 3.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding briefcase, except..., June 30, 2010
I bought this briefcase about two weeks ago and have been using it daily. It looks great; is well constructed; the leather is fine grained, soft, and smells of leather; and the hardware is substantial. However, there is one major design flaw that you should be aware of. As mentioned in several of the other reviews, the spring clips on the ends of the shoulder strap that attach to the bag often unclip when you pick the bag up by the strap. This is not only very annoying but also potentially dangerous. Recently, I grabbed my bag, walked off the subway and the bag dropped to the platform. I'm going to attempt to contact the manufacturer to see if they've come up with a solution for this.

The other thing you should consider is that the bag is large, particularly in length. This is great if you have a large 17 inch laptop you need to haul around. However, if you have a small laptop, travel a lot, and don't bench-press 200 lbs, you may want to consider something smaller and lighter. The fact that the strap keeps falling off only exacerbates this.

The last thing you should know is that there isn't as much interior space as you would expect given the size of the bag. There are three sections inside the bag. The one in the middle is padded and for the laptop; another section has many packets for accessories but not much room for anything else; leaving one section about 1 inch wide that will fit a slim note pad and small amount of paper.

5.0 out of 5 stars McKlein USA Briefcase, May 23, 2011
This review is from: McKleinUSA Morgan 83344 V Series 17-Inch Litigator Full Grain Oil Tanned Leather Laptop Brief (Brown) (Personal Computers)
The bag was all that I expected and then some. I was somewhat skeptical at first because of the reviews stating that the bag was small on the inside but I found it to be exactly what I need. I use it for carrying books to the meetings at my Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and everything fits perfectly considering I have quite a few full-sized books including the Reference Bible in there. I highly recommend this bag and I have received quite a few compliments on it. I do admit, it is a bit on the heavy side but its workmanship and look are quite impressive.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, a nice brief case..., February 28, 2010

It's classy and definitely grabs peoples' attention. It has a real classic or traditional charm to it. There are some criticisms I must make of the case, however. The shoulder strap hooks are not well constructed, as they are prone to dislodging or coming loose when you lift the case by the strap. This creates situations when your case may literally fall from your shoulder strap while you are walking. Furthermore, there is not as much interior space as I had hoped. At any rate, overall, it's a nice briefcase

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bag for Lawyers, August 13, 2009

I have owned this bag for several months now. Best notebook bag I have ever had. A small complaint is that the notebook compartment is in the middle and, although it protects the notebook better there, it forces me to put other files, papers, etc in one of 2 interior side compartment. However, the middle compartment is large enough for a redweld style folder to be placed in it if the notebook is left at the office. Looks great, but a bit on the heavy side. There is a shoulder strap with ring clips, but it has a tendency of becoming unattached when you pick it up by the strap (rings don't swivel freely and occasionally will unclip when you pick it up). I don't recommend using the strap unless you ensure that the clip is secured and upright each time you pick up the strap. Would have given 5 stars but for this issue.

2.0 out of 5 stars Returned it, too big, October 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
had a mcklein case in the past. decided to give this a try.

the 'leather' seemed very low quality almost vinyl like.

the case itself is way too big. almost like carrying a piece of luggage.

the pic is better looking than the final product.

returned it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Bargain Briefcase, March 6, 2010
By
Awesome product. Looks great and is spacious and functional inside. Plenty of places to store accessories such as pens, business cards, etc. Also plenty of room for files, letter or legal size, as well as your laptop. The quality and appearance of this product exceeded my expectations, and both are comparable to much more expensive similarly styled cases.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice bag for the price, August 1, 2011
This review is from: McKleinUSA Morgan 83344 V Series 17-Inch Litigator Full Grain Oil Tanned Leather Laptop Brief (Brown) (Personal Computers)
I needed a large bag for meetings and after much shopping bought this one.

Pros: Large, unique and sharp looking, seems to be of good quality leather

Cons: Shoulder strap indeed seems to have issues as many others have stated. Would be great if there were some protection on the bottom of the bag.

Other: Not a pro or con but the bag is almost a milk chocolate color. Still very nice.

Overall- Extremely nice bag for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars regret, May 9, 2011
I had high hopes for this briefcase in terms of quality as the price was certanly fair. It lasted all of 6 months before screws holding the handles fell out repeatedly and were eventually lost; owing to its design (defect) the should strap will randomly disengaged and disconnect resulting in the bag falling at inopertune and embarrassing times... all of this could have well been avoided had the company paid a modicum of attention to quality and user feedback.

This is a wonderful product. I am able to put a laptop, or at least 6 to 7 files along with other essentials needed for court. Recommend it highly.

4.0 out of 5 stars really nice case- you get what you pay for, April 27, 2010
This is without a doubt the best case I have owned. It has allowed me to combine my lap top case and my old carrying case for important folders and papers that I bring home and to meetings. It doesnt scuff as easily as I expected and seems to be build very ruggardly.
