This review is from: McKlein USA W Series Evanston Leather Women's Briefcase (Personal Computers)
Have had this bag for about a month - and three trips - and I LOVE it. I bought it after getting my new MacBook Pro... which fits perfectly inside.
The color is fun - I may get a darker colored one for winter... but I get a lot of compliments on the light blue. It's nice, soft leather - but has held up well so far. The pics on here don't really show the inside that well... but there are three separate compartments: a zip-close section for purse items, a zip-close section for the laptop and a third "middle" compartment that just has two magnetic snaps. It is great for going through airports. SInce the purse side and the computer side are separate, you don't have to worry about loosing things when you take out the laptop for screening. Plus, the middle compartment is great for things like boarding passes and cell phones and all of the other little things you have to get in and out over and over again.

Some good features, but not right for me,

I was looking for a new bag to carry my Macbook Pro. For daily use, I also carry several files and my lunch to work. When I travel, I would use my computer bag as a purse, so I need room for a wallet, small make-up bag, keys, water bottle, etc., and maybe a sweater. I liked the company's story, as it appears to be started by a young woman social entrepreneur who is providing employment opportunities in her native Thailand, where the bags are manufactured. This is the widest of the McKlein bags that are not on wheels. It also appears to be made of a softer leather than the other McKlein women's bags. The drawbacks are: (1) Although there are 3 main compartments, none is very wide. None is wide enough to hold my lunch, and the compartment that could be used for purse items barely accommodates them. (2) There is no front pocket for easy retrieval of a boarding pass or passport. (3) The straps, which are flat leather strips, do not stay in place on the shoulder very well. Rolled-stitched straps would work better. The computer sleeve has plenty of room for my laptop, however, for its size, the entire bag does not conveniently carry the things I need for daily use or travel. I will be returning it.
