This beautiful atlas is user-friendly, useful, and attractive to children and adults. It has political, physical and thematic maps along with a history of mapmaking.Beautiful color pictures from many countries take the reader to the people and main attrations in countries around the world. A highly recommended book!

This atlas was OK for overall view of the world, but not for study of maps or individual countries around the world. The detail was limited both on the maps as with the countries. Could have used more information on natural resources, animals or plants of an area, statistics, or cultural tidbits to make it more informative or useful in my opinion.
