This review is from: McPhee (Audio CD)
Australian 1972 Heavy psych, protoprog with a pop song interlude, 5 out 7 tunes are covers. Strong Female vocals with storming wAiling guitar choogling throughout, duelling with heavy b3 hammond. A heavy groove is maintained throughout via the strong guitar playing, atop a very tight bass, keyboards, and drums interlock.
1. Wrong Time
2. Sunday Shuffle (original)
3. Southern Man
4. Indian Rope Man
5. Superstar (pop interlude that doesn't fit)
6. I Am The Walrus (done heavy and slow ala Spooky Tooth)
7. Out To Lunch (original instrumental 10 minutes)
This is the kinda release that happens when trends are witnessed from afar, pop, pysch, soul, and prog get lumped together.
