Good book with detail information,

This study guide not only lets me pass the exchange 5.5 exam, but she provides a very useful information about the exchange 5.5 in which I can't find from other MCSE books. I quite enjoy to study the chapter 12 ( Managing an exchange Environment) and chapter 16 (Migrating to exchange). Whatever you choose this book for exam or knowledge, that's a good choice.

A thick, but precise book. Minor errors on test CD.,

This review is from: McSe: Exchange Server 5.5 Study Guide (Hardcover)
Learned me all i needed to know to pass the exam on the first try (scored 800, 640 needed to pass). Has minor two faults though: First, there is no explanation of the wrong answers in the tests, second, the questions on the CD-rom is the same as in the book and several of them is repeated in the same test which makes the final score useless. The test program has the option to save the test which is nice because the three tests on the CD has over 120 questions each - but there is no option restore, strange. But that is still minor errors.I would recommend this book to everyone who want's not only to pass the test, but also want's to learn Exchange Server 5.5.

Excellent book for the Exchange 5.5 exam,

Passed the exam on May 22nd with an 833. Of all the study/review guides that I have used for both the MCSE and CNE this book is the BEST. Especially since I have zero Exchange experience. Several of the questions and sinerios that are in the study guide showed up on the test. This book is very easy reading, which really helps alot. With this book along with the Transender Test you should pass this test, but don't take it lightly as there is alot of material to know for this exam. Good luck to all you future MCSE's.

JUST STUDY THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS,
By A Customer
This review is from: McSe: Exchange Server 5.5 Study Guide (Hardcover)
As far as content, I found this book to be mediocre, ambiguous, and redundant. HOWEVER, AT LEAST 70% OF THE REAL EXAM IS PRACTICALLY WORD FOR WORD RIGHT FROM THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS! TRUST ME ON THIS! If you know these practice questions cold, you'll pass! I passed exchange 3 weeks ago with a 700, hey it was good enough! I was laughing out loud during the exam! It was my 7th MS exam to date. Forget Transcenders and brain dumps.

Study guide indeed,

Having used Exchange 5.5 for over a year, I knew how complicated the test might be, but this book really showed the things I needed to know to pass. The review questions, however, any understandably biased toward the book contents. Use the MS Prep exams or Transcender to finish off your preparation. That helped me considerably.

Passed with very little effort,

I skimmed through this book and on the first try passed the exam. All the questions I saw on the exam were in the book. To tell you that there was any effort put into this exam using this book would be a lie. I just read the book took the exam and passed with an 800. I only read the book once.

By A Customer
This review is from: McSe: Exchange Server 5.5 Study Guide (Hardcover)
The one-line summary says it all. I wish all texts were as thorough as this one. I read the material, practiced with the 120 day evaluation software and prepared with the included exams (on CDROM). Don't waste your money on anything else. If you want to pass the Exchange 5.5 exam, this is the one you want.

Even if you only have a little bit of experience with Exchange, this is the only book you need. The questions in the back are really just like the test! Took and passed the test on 4/7/00 with no problems. Don't waste your money on another resource!

Excellent preparation for the Microsoft Exam!,
By Phil Schwan (Ohio) - See all my reviews
This review is from: McSe: Exchange Server 5.5 Study Guide (Hardcover)
I read this book cover-to-cover, making sure I knew all the chapter questions backwards and forwards. This book, coupled with the Transcender, helped me pass this exam and gave me a great deal of knowledge of the inner workings of Exchange Server. This book is a must have for anyone wishing to pass this test!
