McCade's bounty
An excellent build up to the story line, a few unexpected plot twists and a couple of painfully obvious "suprises". Dietz did a great job in supplying an edge of your seat action packed story. This book, as well as the series, has become one of my favorites.

Disappointing compared to others in this series
The buildup was decent but the ending was so abrupt as to leave the reader wondering if Mr. Dietz was suddenly so tired of writing that he wanted to end the story immediately and in any slapdash manner possible. His other novels in the Sam McCade series were better but not as gripping as "Galactic Bounty" (aka "War World). Pity.

The last book of four about Sam McCade is totally incredible. Even though I knew there was only 4 when I bought it, because I bought it after all 4 were already out, I was reading it with the desire for it not to end. There is absolutely no way to compare with other books by other guys when it come to military sci-fi. Unfortunately, there are no more about Sam McCade. Just wait a year and reread all 4 again. William Dietz is my favorite and will always be.
