If you know someone with dementia this book helps you understand it from their side. Whilst the book is sad as he sees his faculties changing the relationship between him and his wife is lovely. He is very frank about what has happened to him, losing friends, people's reactions to his illness and his frustration. There is no self pity just a positive approach to his life with lots of hope.
