Me & My Guitar / First Nashville Guitar Quartet a very nice vinyl album duo on CD. First Nashville Guitar Quartet is the reason I ordered the CD, to replace the vinyl album and to have a better playback quality of it. The song "Carolina Shout" is the very best ragtime piano translated to guitar version of the song I have ever heard. Chet Atkins was very good at translating piano songs to the guitar, Chet Atkins' version of "Dizzy Fingers" is an other good example of this. The First Nashville Guitar Quartet CD is a must have for all guitar music lovers. And the best place to buy it is here at Amazon :-)

I have been playing and teaching the Chet Atkins finger-style guitar technique for four decades. I consider this album to be a treasure to any fan of Chet's. On this two-fer CD, in the album "Me and My Guitar," is the song "Cascade," one of Chet's signature tunes. It is difficult, but worth the effort.
This CD was originally released as one of nine two-fer CD's by One-Way Records. If Amazon could encourage the Bear Family to re-release the other eight,
it would be a great day for Chet's fans.
