This book is awsome! It's such a sweet story, and because originally I checked it out from the library on a whim I didn't realize until the end that it was about Jane Goodall. I ended up buying it because my daughter who was 9 months old at the time really really loved this book. SHe is 15 months old and for some reason just loves the story. It's pretty basic, so it is a good read even for a small child, but is still a great story overall. The illustrations are awesome, and the underlying message about following your dreams is a timeless one.

The story seemed bland to me, but my four and five year old grandkids loved it, and they are the target audience. It inspired the five-year-old to study my garden flowers. He spent hours pasting bits on a piece of paper and labeling them, because he wants to be a scientist, too. I have to give this book five stars.

This is a darling book. A treat to read and have a child read to you. My six year old granddaughter loves it. The drawings are wonderful as well. Congratulations to the author for this beautiful thoughtful book.

Two of our grand children are 4 years old and love us to read to them. Especially if they get to participate. I know everybody does this, but I will mention it anyway. I like to make animal noises when I am reading about animals to them and I encourage them to participate. We love them so much and want them to love reading. This is a great way to get them to learn and love reading. Jim A.
