Me Too, Woody,
By A Customer
This review is from: Me Too, Woody! (Step-Into-Reading, Step 1) (Paperback)
Our 6 yr old in kindergarten read this book today! It was great he only needed a little help and he was very proud of himself. It is a nice simple story about Buzz,Woody and Jessie that is separate from the movies.

This is a great book for young readers who are just connecting the idea of words having meaning. They are predictable & have good picture context clues. My son loves it!

My 2 year old loves Buzz and Woody (who doesn't?) and this is one of those books he can memorize and "read" on his own. If your child is at that stage and likes the characters, its good at that.I got the book for an airplane activity - it kept him busy all week long, but has lost some of its appeal now that he has his full library to select from.

My son LOVES this book!,
This review is from: Me Too, Woody! (Step-Into-Reading, Step 1) (Paperback)
I bought this book for my 16-month-old son who recently fell in love with the Toy Story movie (especially Buzz Lightyear) and he LOVES this book. We have to read it about 5 times before bedtime, which isn't too terrible because it is nice and short. He actually has it memorized now and when he flips through the pages, he recites the words. So even though he can't read yet, it sounds like he's reading the book himself! A very cute book for kids interested in Toy Story characters. It has made for some great mommy-and-son time and has even helped add a few new words to my 16-month-old's vocabulary (baseball, see-saw, checkers, Good buddies!). I imagine it will be great for those just learning to read too. Excellent choice!

This is working great with my 2 year old granson. He LOVES Buzz! He refuses to talk due to his older brother does most of the talking for him, so I purchased this book - hoping he would repeat the words and it worked. He says Buzz and points to his picture. And will sit on my lap to read the book with me. It's hard to find Buzz items anywhere.

This is a good book for small children. It has simple words to teach children and a fast read since their attention spand is not long.

We bought a similar book "Step into reading" for Thomas and Trains in Costco. It had 6 full stories with each story around 20 pages at least with lots of text to read through. We thought this book is similar to that. But all we found was that it is just 15 to 20 page book with no stories but just opposite words, no more than 3 words per page. Very little to read for my son. Total waste of money.

Kindergartners Read!,
This review is from: Me Too, Woody! (Step-Into-Reading, Step 1) (Paperback)
I teach Kindergarten in a high poverty area. This book really got my Kindergartners excited to read. They were very anxious to sound out each word to read the story about their favorite characters. Books with the simple language and easy to sound out words are difficult to find. This book fit my needs as a simple reader for my kids and it fit my kids needs for a high interest book.
