A haunting voice carrying emotions from the dawn of times, accompanied by intensely authentic keltic melodies, and sometimes laced with modern rhythmic sections. Prigent is the real thing. At using the new at the service of the traditionnal, he succeds where most everyone else has failed. I am an avid collector of Keltic music and not usually impressed with fusion of styles, but this is unique. Prigent and Nunez (check him out too) are re-energizing keltic music with fresh ideas. If you liked even a little bit the Afro-Celt Sound System, you will be blown away by Prigent. As I write this, I am listening to a track where he overlaid a rap rhythmic section over his song. I HATE rap, and yet this works. It doesn't sound cheap or poppy. It is simply intoxicating.

Heard Denez' latest album in a pub on the W-coast of Britanny. Mesmerizing music - traditional and modern mixed to perfection. Can't wait for the next album!

Denez Prigent, est plus qu'un chanteur breton, il marie avec une réussite incroyable tout les genres traditionnel, techno, pop...L'écouter provoque une émotion profonde et c'est vrai pour tous ses albums. Je ne connais personne qui n'est pas craqué à l'écoute. Dommage qu'il ne soit pas plus promus hors de Bretagne (indisponible à Montréal).

Denez prigent est le renouveau de la musique bretonne. Chants traditionnels, gwerzioù, extraits du kan ha diskan de son répertoire personnel, melangés à la musique électronique, ryhtmes jungle, techno. une voix d'or et qui ne laisse pas indifférent! frisson assuré! j'aime à quand le prochain album?

ThisCd is a must buy. I recently had the pleasue of performing with Denez and he is both an amzing guy and singer. A true genius!
