I received my camera last night and so far so good. It actually arrived earlier than I expected so I was pleasently surprised at that. I used it as a dash cam to film my morning commute today and was happy with the results. The video quality is good. It does not do well in direct sunlight (when the sun is shining straight into the lense) but honestly what camer does that well? The transitions from sun to shaddow is pretty quick so the image shaprens up nicely. The instructions are complete rubbish as most have said in other reviews. Ha little trial and effort you should be able to figure it out. Also the lense is only about a 90 degree angle, not 140 as advertised. This seems to be what the latest models are comming with but the sellers have not updated the specs yet. The USB drivers installed cleanly when I plugged into my windows 7 laptop. I am able to see it as a USB mass storage devide and get the videos into Windows Movie Maker easilly. Lastly I did test the waterproof housing, but only a very basic test in my bathroom sink. It worked well but of course this in a few inches of water so there is no pressure. So far this seems like a good buy for the money. I paid $80 for the camera plus a Micro SD memory card which is less than 1/2 of the least expensive go pro. If it dosn't fall appart of the battery doesn't explode I'll be happy with my purchase.
Nice camera for the price. I'm using it on a quadcopter and have been happy with the video and how easy it is to secure it to the quad. It comes with quite a few mounts and a waterproof case with tripod mounting. I'd recommend it, but first check out the Mobius action camera. It's a few more dollars, but it mounts lower on a quadcopter and that might meet your needs better. There are a few good videos on Youtube that compare the video quality of these two cameras while mounted to a quad.
For the money you just can't beat this little camera. I use it on my quadcopter and the video turns out great! True 1080 HD and I even had this thing fall 200 from the sky the very first time I flew with it and didn't secure it properly and it still works like a champ. Also you get every attachment you could ever need for almost anything including waterproof underwater case! I HIGHLY recommend this camera for anyone looking to get a nice true HD camera on a budget.
Noisy but decent video. Color is great, blues seem emphasized, audio is better than I expected unless in the protective housing. Had to put a layer of clear tape over the buttons on the side, they vibrated so badly the first few video's I took were nearly useless. Wrapped the battery in electric tape so it fit the camera better, it fit sloppy and bounced around and created noise too. I drilled a hole in the case at the microphone so it could pic up sound better, I have no plans to try it underwater lol.
