From the Manufacturer
The Meade 9400 Microscope is just the right scientific tool for young students or adult hobbyists. As a serious tool for the amateur scientist, the Meade Model 9400 presents a microscopic world of unimagined complexity and variation. View objects in an entirely new dimension, from the subtle cell structure of a maple leaf to the protozoa that inhabit common pond water. The Model 9400 is a microscope that will grow with the user's expanding interests in microscopy.
The Model 9400 includes as standard equipment a range of features not generally available on microscopes in its price range. Three large, professional-size objective lenses (4x, 10x, and 40x) are mounted on a rotating turret, while the precision coarse-and-fine rack-and-pinion focuser permits sharp focusing of the image even at the highest powers. A 10x wide-field eyepiece yields magnifications of 40x, 100x, and 400x. Other features include:
- Adjustable-inclination microscope body
- 6-aperture rotary diaphragm for lighting control
- Substage condensing lens for uniform illumination with concave illumination mirror
- Slide set with 5 prepared slides and 5 blank slides
