We have been using this product over a year now and here are the some major points to keep in mind.
1) Very good quality built product. Sturdy, starter lens are good enough if using to teach your kids how to look up Stars and Planets. 2a) Clarity of Lens is very good (note: Comes with 2 lenses). Not a high powered lens but good for the price. 2b) Very easy to read manual and detailed enough for starters. (If you feel you would like to explore more then get additional detailed print outs from the Internet or buy a guide on Planets and Stars.) 3) Little bulky, but powerful. There are new Meade's out there which are more compact with same size lens. That would be my next upgrade in couple of years. If you have money please feel free to upgrade. Very good product for the money. |
