I recently received this telescope as a gift. Nothing wrong with the scope itself, it seems like a nice product.

However, you'll notice that the Amazon price is $200 less than other vendors - that is because they DO NOT INCLUDE THE TRIPOD, which is required for operation of the scope, and included by all the other vendors.

A local specialist telescope vendor mentioned that they hear about this kind of issue every day.
