- GPS - LX90 can do more than track satellites. It talks to them as well. Turn it on and the built-in Sony GPS sensor immediately determines your precise date, time and location. AutoAlign then uses this info to align your scope for a tour of the most spectacular sights in the universe.
- Easy align - LX90s are smart scopes that know the night sky right out of the box. Easy Align picks two alignment stars for you and places them right in your viewfinder. Just center them to fine tune your alignment and the wonders of the universe are at your fingertips.
- Oversized primary mirror - Meade manufactures their primary mirrors in diameters larger than their listed aperture (e.g. the dia. of 8" LX90's primary mirror is actually 8.25"). This additional 1/4" yields a wider, fully illuminated FOV & allows you to see the light other telescopes leave behind.
- 8 x 50 viewfinder - Quickly and easily locate and center deep sky objects.
- Slew speed - The LX90 slews (moves) from star to star at 7 degrees per second. That is more than twice as fast as the competition. This means that over the course of an evening, a Meade LX90 will show you two to three times more objects.

This LX90 is an excellent telescope. I love it. Meade also offers excellent customer support. The only thing I can comment on is the fact that you pay alot of money and only one eyepiece is included.

the price on Meade online store is 1999.00USD, I found here in Amazon is 1400.00$, I bought it.but when the telescope arrvied , no tripod in package, I think this why it's cheaper. Please be aware of it. but in Meade website's official description: the tripod is deafult accessory in a LX90 package. i retunred the package, I paid 54.00 USD for insured shipment, but Amazon only refunded me 31.00 USD.

The telescope itself outstands from the rest..... but AMAZON DIDN'T SENT ME THE "INCLUDED" (stated by the manufacturer) TRIPOD! there goes another $300 for the tripod.......Just because i couldn't wait to use the telescope i bought the tripod somewhere else... if I knew this situation was to happen I would prefer another seller..
