beware cheap plastic parts,

The telescope is fine. The cheap plastic parts that connect the telescope to the tri-pod are not. Broke after limited use by my responsible teen son. Apparently the securing screw can be tightened too much, and breaks the platform and holder in two.
Meade claims to have a one year warranty. NOT. Called to order replacement parts. Can't get them, not even purchase them. Poor quality, poor customer service, no "standing behind product." |
