I have been cooking meals for my family for years, but I must confess, I never plan ahead. I just decide to make something and then about midway, I find that I am missing one (and usually more) of the few ingredients. When I do follow a recipe and shop in advance of cooking, I often find myself with leftover "specialty" ingredients that I don't know how to use (I mean who knows how to use fennel outside of a recipe?). With food costs rising, I finally came to the realization that now is the time to start planning to stop wasting food and money and make meals that are organized and planned out in advance. I found this book in the Kindle store and the preview was really good so I decided to take the plunge. I am VERY glad that I did! This book is such a great resource for those new to meal planning and has really helped me create a system that works for my family and me. I think that the system it lays out is easy to follow and logical. The best part is that it still definitely allows the chef in me to still create! I highly recommend this to those new to meal planning!

I haven't been able to make all the cards, etc., yet, but once all of that is done, it looks like it will be so much easier to implement than other meal plans.

Great book! As a busy college student having to actually cook for myself for the first time, meal planning can get a bit hectic. This book makes planning meals much easier by helping me make shopping lists and helping me plan out my meals. Thanks to this book I am more organized when it comes to meal planning so I can plan in advance and buy more foods to make better meals. Before reading this book I would just cook whatever frozen stuff I could find to cook, but now I'm making healthier and more "complex" meals. I would highly recommend this book to people with busy lifestyles.

I appreciate that this works for this author but I struggle with keeping stuff off my fridge. I could never bear looking at all those cards all day long! Further, it 'll takes way too much space and time. There has to be an easier way to plan meals.

Way too much trouble---messy gave making it after about five minutes.
The information is good but it needs to be more user friendly.
I got to thinking after she responded to my review how much effort she had to have put into this.
I should have added that I am 72 and focus, which has always been an issue is much worse now.
People who can focus and organize and would do well with this.
I donated it to our library and am giving it 3 stars.
