We haven't experienced each of the conversation starters. However, of the ones we have discussed, we are thrilled with the results. Both our children actively participate in identifying applicable Bible stories and everyday life situations. The standing-flip-pad design makes it convenient for the leader to keep their spot. There is a table of contents at the front as well as a index at the back that arranges by topic or theme. Nearly 90 themes include: attitude, beauty, choices, creation, eterbal life, family, games, giving, character, provision, kindness, repentance, thankfulness, & worry.
Each page includes:
*Mealtime Prayer - nothing heavy or fully written, just a guide to tie into the topic
*Appetizer - conversation starter along the theme, generally without directly addressing the "Main Course"
*Main Course - questions that tie the "Appetizer" with a scripture & a verse to read
*Table Talk - further examination of the scripture/topic
*Vitamins & Minerals - a final verse that compliments the topic
With some, it would be fun to plan ahead and prepare a meal that compliments the topic - but it's not necessary every meal. This is as appropriate for families with pre-schoolers as it is for teens at the table.

This is a great tool for getting the family talking during meals. Very kid friendly subjects about Jesus and how you can relate to him each day and really reflect. Gives parents and spouses more insight on each others thoughts and the current events in their lives. Last night we read the "Pizza Party" one since we ordered pizza and it was nice to just chat in referance to God with pizza as the tying-theme.

This a wonderful family devotion that just takes minutes to complete, yet provokes thoughtful and enjoyable family discussions and lays solid Biblical foundations.

We have kids ages 11, 9 and 6 and Mealtime Moments is perfect for our family. It generates great discussion and helps our kids talk about their faith and really think about why they believe what they believe. It's a great tool for family closeness and for spiritual growth.
