Editorial Reviews

Review

....This a highly readable, user-friendly and professional guide. It is thorough enough to introduce students or industry newcomers to the many considerations and the big picture of landscape estimating, and also to keep seasoned professionals up-to-date on the latest industry trends. An excellent companion to Site Work & Landscape Cost Data.

I foresee using this book on a regular basis in my Landscape Architecture "Planting Design" and Horticulture "Residential Planting Design" courses. I'm not a professional yet so can't really say, but I suspect that this book will be a favorite among professionals. It's a keeper. While Site Work & Landscape Cost Data seems targeted to people who already know what they need to price, Landscape Estimating Methods teaches how to figure that out. --International Cost Engineering Council, February 2009

1.0 out of 5 stars landscaping estimating methods, August 22, 2005
It simply sucks. It does not help with estimating in a landscape company. Also it's too difficult to understand and too complex. All I wanted to know is how to estimate walkways patios, decks, tree removal, etc.... This book does not do it. [...]you will see how bad this book is..

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very usable/practical, April 1, 2008
By
Tristan Heberlein "tristano" (Seattle, WA United States) - See all my reviews
Fortunately I checked this book out from the library so I didn't get stuck with it. I got it with the intention of using it to estimate residential landscape construction projects. However, it just wasn't straightforward or practical enough to be of use. Really theoretical but doesn't give necessary info to use it in my landscape design-build business.
