Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

ISO 9000: the international standard on quality systems. An updated version of Measurement and Calibration for Quality Assurance (1991) which was based on the (now obsolete) British Standard BS 5750. This revised version is based on the latest international quality assurance standard ISO 9000 now adopted by industry around the world. The approach of this book is to present the subject of quality assurance first, introducing the problems concerned with product quality and the interpretation of the imposed requirements and standards involved. This is followed by a discussion of the measurement and calibration procedures and equipment necessary for the operation of the mechanisms for assessing the sources of measurement error and quantifying their effect. A series of separate chapters is devoted to each of the commonly measured quality-related quantities.

This review is from: Measurement and Calibration Requirements for Quality Assurance to ISO 9000 (Hardcover)
This book was a godsend, it not only prepared us for our ISO audit, it supplied information that was not obtainable on the net or through government agencies. Since the purchase of this book I have had other departments request this for their own review.

The departure from my current position of Database Custodian to Sr. Data Coordinator is a direct result from some of the information utilized from this book in the preparation for our departmental standards and guidelines.

I have requested from my new Dept. Manager that we purchase this book for reference due to the fact that the original copy will be utilized by my replacement.

Try it you'll like it. G.Schroeder PSQA Allergan Inc.
