Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Yvette Borcia and Gerry Stern on April 3, 2007
Format: Hardcover
Subtitled "Metrics for Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management Research." The book addresses four questions:

1) what is the essential nature of overall organizational performance?

2) what are the primary constructs that represent the different dimensions underlying overall organizational financial performance?

3) what are the best measures of primary constructs underlying overall organizational financial performance? and

4) can a model of overall organizational financial performance be developed that distinguishes between high- and low-performing companies?

Among the many valuable aspects of this book are two new models for measuring shareholder wealth creation. The research results reported are extensive and the authors provide in-depth discussion of all aspects of their findings and conclusions on financial performance. This book is outstanding in its scope, depth, and insights. Very highly recommended.
