5.0 out of 5 stars Bliss. Rapture. Heaven. Paradise., March 27, 2000
This review is from: Meat (Audio CD)
You will never regret buying this disc. Like Songs of You and Me, this is a combo-CD of two (amazing) albums: Seizure and Croaker. Chris Knox is a Master of Lo-Fi. He is a one-man Punk Opera waiting to happen. Magnetic Fields fans will know Knox from his work with Stephin Merritt in the Sixths. For my money, those two are dukin' it out for Best Songwriter of Our Times. If a Chris Knox song and a Magnetic Fields song were attacked in an alley by a Beck song, they would beat it and leave it, wondering what just happened. Knox's lyrics are convoluted, irreverent, self-effacing, poetic, usually funny and sometimes heart-breaking. His melodies are like bubble gum for your brain that never ever loses its flavor. Get this disc. You'll thank me later.

5.0 out of 5 stars great album, get it on iTunes instead, July 25, 2008
This review is from: Meat (Audio CD)
Great album from Chris Knox, along the lines of the also-awesome Polyfoto Duck Shaped Pain and Songs of You And Me.

BUT, don't pay collector prices! This album (along with the Toy Love record which is also awesome) is available on iTunes for the reasonable price of $9.99.
