5.0 out of 5 stars Machine Dragon!, July 14, 2008
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mecha Godzilla Vinyl Figure (7" Tall) (Toy)
MechaGodzilla is my favorite of Godzilla's many nemeses. The star of no less than five Godzilla films, more than any other monster, there is just something cool about this cyborg anti-Godzilla.

This figure is based on the Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla film in the Millennium series, the one constructed over the skeleton of the original Godzilla. The description lists this figure as being from Final Wars, which is incorrect as MechaGodzilla did not appear in that flick.

It isn't the full deal, and lacks the shoulder cannons that he sported in the film, but other than that the detail is great and with moving arms and head the figure is more than just a plastic statue, and able to make some cool poses with it. It's study, and could stand up to play pretty well. For me, it is just sitting on my desk at work, but it could easily be a child's toy as well.

Although for some reason, most poeple call this Kaiju Mechagodzilla, it's actualy called Kiryu to keep it from being confused with the other two Mechagodzillas. with a drill hand movable head, arms, and tail and extremely durable, this Kiryu is one that should be added to any Kaiju collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars ALSO AWSOME!, March 22, 2007
This review is from: Mecha Godzilla Vinyl Figure (7" Tall) (Toy)
I wasn't expecting to get this so fast. I bought it for a birthday present and now I have a bunch of toys sitting in my apartment tempting me to play with them. That's a good thing though.

The Mechagodzilla figure was packaged very well and arrived in the condition described. He's currently sitting amid several other Godzilla/Ultraman/Gamera figures on my monster shelf.
Very satisfied with the purchase and would consider additional purchases from the seller.

This is another great figure,LOVE IT.BUT it was FAILED to mention that the legs do not move!I found that out the hard way.But all other body parts turn 360.I have this in my collection and i love it, the detail and color is almost exact from the movie. But no sholder cannons. This is still worth haveing.

I introduced my now 4 year old son to Godzilla a few months ago, and he has become obsessed. There isn't a lot of Godzilla merchandise in circulation at this time, but am very happy to have found this. This toy is great looking, and stands up to the abuse my son dishes out on it as he re-enacts battles scenes with this along with the actual Godzilla toy I bought from the same manufacturer through Amazon.

This figure of MechaGodzilla III, or Kiryu as he's known to fans, is an excellent addition to any kaiju collection. True, it doesnt come with the external weapons pods, but the details at 7 inches tall will make this far less important. He also has very good articulations which makes him very poseble. As a toy I have my doubts that the silvercoat would survive being roughly handled, but as a figure I am very pleased with it and the price is very good for the collector on a budget.
