Sweet, romantic, and hot!

In a normal book, the other team would have been yelling "there's no crying in baseball"!

You'd think he wouldn't want to be contained, it'd cause flashbacks of being helpless.

I have only been able to make it through 50%, so far. I might be able to force myself to come back to it some other time. I bought this because I thought this would be one of those rare m/m books where they are partners, both equal and versatile, strong masculine characters, and they are. (which gives the second star). And, it had promise, plot wise, too. But, it seems like every fifth word is gentle or gently, with soft(ly), sweet, caring, loving, or something similar in between. It is so repetitive, and low passion, and boring. Another reviewer likened it to a fairy tale, and it is, but on Valium with no energy. It is not a short book, but not much has happened so far, the only action was very quick. Both baseball games were long scenes of games stopped by figurative hand holding on the field, actual gentle embracing, and soft whispered promises to make everyone wait or stop the game altogether because one person felt emotional. In a normal book, the other team would have been yelling "there's no crying in baseball"! That's why I was so surprised that the first time they had sex, he fisted him! Though, of course, it was described as gentle and loving and easy. Really? Maybe on Sanzel.

Ok, I kept waiting for a plot to really emerge, and it sort of did, but I must agree with other reviewers, it's just too sickly sweet.
I wanted to like the big masculine guys, but instead, I came away with indigestion from too much sweetness.
If there is anything special about this book, it gets lost in the dialogue.
I wanted to like this, it certainly has potential, but falls far short.
Make pancakes before opening this book, you'll have plenty of syrup, and at least something palatable.

I loved both points of view, both Vance and Merek had a great deal of love to give. I really related to Vance's perspective of a normal life here with his buddies playing ball. I liked the way that Lyssa allowed the attraction to grow and develop, but it was clear that it was majorly hot. Merek's situation on his home planet was dire, and as soon as Vance realized his lover was in trouble he turned all alpha which was a major hit. This was a well written and beautiful love story, with a major twist that made me grin ear to ear. I highly recommend this book.

I thought I'd give this book a try and I'm so glad that I did. Not being a big fan of sci-fi in itself, I found the world of Sanzel to be a world where m/m relationships bloom among the adventure of helping a world of unrest and the people in need.
King Merek and his aheri Vance go on an adventure to help the people of Sanzel and come away with not only love and friendships, but a little more understanding of what's going on in the world of Sanzel.
Can't wait for the next book.

This was a good read. I liked the setting in this series. It's basically an alien love story . An alien (s) from another planet/world called Sanzel comes to Earth to find his (their) mates. King Merek has i think it was 9 brothers , all of whom find their mates on Earth. It's not a coincidence that all their mates happen to be on the same baseball team. It's destiny. Merek's mate is Vance and once he locks eyes with and touches Vance their mating bond forms and it's only when they both release their sperm inside each other that the bond cements. Now, the men of Sanzel can get pregnant. It's a pretty cool take on male pregnancy. Their whole pregnancy deal gets repeated in each book so far which i've started skipping. You can read them out of order but i'd recommend reading them in their order. Each mate of the brothers has scars from their past. Each brother helps their mate with those scars and in return the mates strengthen the brothers so that they can defeat the evil leader seeking to destroy their world.

I will say that synonyms exist for a reason and that one can only read the word seed so many times before it becomes bothersome. It's not a garden. Stop with the "Seed" .

I should start off by saying that I am not a fan of M/M romances or stories that take place on another world; both of which this story is about. However, the cover grabbed my eye, so I read the description and then read the first few pages of the book (Thank You Amazon for allowing this nifty feature) and I decided to give the book a try.

And… Boy, am I glad I did!!! This is the first story in Lyssa Samuels “Royal Mates, Love’s Diamonds” Series; and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lyssa writes a wonderful romance with some intrigue thrown in that kept this reader turning the pages of her Kindle; and with the book length at 218 pages, you have plenty of time to get to know the characters and the world on which they live.

King Merek and his brothers leave their home world of Sanzel on the advice of their seer (Mohar) who told them that they would find their mates on Earth. They leave their home in unrest since their parents have been murdered. King Merek and his brothers are sure that Delegate Kiernan and the Legari warriors are behind their parent’s deaths but they are unable to prove it. On the advice of Mohar, they travel to Earth to find their mates. Mohar has told them that when each of them is mated they will be stronger and their powers will increase.

This story centers around Merek and Vance; but with 10 brothers, there are sure to be additional books – YAY!!!

Merek and his brothers meet at a baseball field where Vance and his friends are playing a pick up baseball game. Merek knows immediately that Vance is his aheri (his destined mate). Merek wants to take his time and introduce Vance to his world and their customs slowly; unfortunately, the Legari warriors make that impossible when they open a portal in Vance’s garage and attack Vance.
