5.0 out of 5 stars Great learning game for kids
My son got this game when he was 7-8 years old and absolutely loved it. The early levels are easy enough for kids to learn how to create the machines without getting too frustrated. He got the hang of it and got through all the levels within a week to two, and then started all over to see if he could beat his times. It's been over a year and he'll still play it...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great concept, too short for the price!
I absolutely have loved any game that follows this pattern. The Incredible Machine (and Even More!) were absolutely wonderful games back in the day. I bought this thinking it was along the same lines.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great concept, too short for the price!, November 3, 2008

I absolutely have loved any game that follows this pattern. The Incredible Machine (and Even More!) were absolutely wonderful games back in the day. I bought this thinking it was along the same lines.

I found the gameplay to be great. A little copycat, and a little unimaginative with the pieces and the levels, however. Some of the levels were just plain too obvious.

The second mode, which is sort-of a free-form draw mode was pretty good, though the (also copycatted) portals are a little buggy and kind of annoying.

Finally, the game sports only 55 regular levels and 50 freeform ones. I averaged a little over a minute on each one (the game times you). Thats less than 2.5 hours of game play folks. Just not worth $30. I think you'll be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but it was too short., November 25, 2008

It's a fun game where you have to use various contraptions to clear the aliens and rescue the humans from each level.

You play through 55 levels using what items are provided on each level. After that you play through 50 levels where you can draw in lines and portals to influence where things move/roll to.

It was great fun, but was easy to beat in less than a day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great learning game for kids, December 7, 2010

My son got this game when he was 7-8 years old and absolutely loved it. The early levels are easy enough for kids to learn how to create the machines without getting too frustrated. He got the hang of it and got through all the levels within a week to two, and then started all over to see if he could beat his times. It's been over a year and he'll still play it occasionally. My younger daughter likes it too, although she often needs help, and my husband and mother also play it once in a while. I agree that more levels would be great, but we got ours fairly cheap, and it was well worth it.

I bought this for my daughter to help her work on her problem solving skills. It was just what she needed. It's the closest thing I could find to "The Incredible Machine". I swear that she is better at understanding cause and effect type problems because of this game. This was not a skill of hers but she became quite good at this game after a short period. I had to work with her in the beginning (she's 8) I love it too (Mom).

This is a fun game. I am enjoying it although the levels nearing 50 are hard I think to do. My teenage son helps me and says it is a fun game.

I thought this game was completely different - I'm sure someone else would find it delightful - however - that someone is not me.
