A Case of Spring Fever is a humorous tale of being careful what you wish for. When Gilbert wishes never to see another spring ever again while doing odd jobs around the house, the troublesome little 'spring sprite' grants him that desire, taking springs out of everything, making everyday tasks next to impossible to complete! Gilbert then understands the value of the spring, and pleads with the spring sprite to take back his wish. This anecdote, complete with cartoons and a 1950's cultural premise, teaches an entertaining lesson.
