I bought a box of these because I knew my friends and classmates were going to borrow them and never give them back! I get so many comments about them at Uni, its funny. I take them out to write notes in the margins of our textbook, and 3 people around me go "Cool, is that a mechanical pencil?" I've let people borrow it that i have to remind not to sharpen it! What I love most is the lack of the "clicker" I never have to feel that uncomfortable bump of the clicker or the lump of the clip on the cap, and it is very convient. I have one stashed in every corner of my house and my parent's house.

TO: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle! (Northern California), the pencil is refilable. Just pull off the top (the eraser) the design is seemless, so its not imediately obvious. If you pull off the eraser, you stick the lead in the top!

I feel bad for the dozen you threw out!

Never need to sharpen it by any means. The lead comes out automatically whenever necessary. This is the only type of pencils I'll buy from now on, because it is perfect, nothing else is so smart and so convenient to use.

My teenage boy always say "sucks" on whatever I brought home; but this time he had to say "cool" right after he tried it on a scratch paper. I don't think he'll use any other pencils again; he's such a lazy American.

It uses any 0.5 or 0.7 mm leads; so don't complain that you cannot find refills. It is a very simple DIY to replace the eraser when it wears out.

I do have a suggestion to the manufacturer though: make some transparent ones, so I can see the length of the lead left. I hate to refill the lead during an important meeting.

A Kid's Review

They are really cool, they dispense the lead, and I don't even have to think about it. I love it, just like a normal pencil, but the point is always sharp like a mechanical pencil. Great even for mechanical pencil haters.
