like part of my hand,
This review is from: Mechanix Wear MG-05-010 Original Glove, Black, Large (Tools & Hardware)
I never liked wearing gloves when working on my car because I can't feel what i am doing. Ever since I tried this glove out, I have never worked without it. It fits my hand snugly, I can feel what I am doing and have protected my hand from numerous cuts and bruises.

Does that say $75 list price?,

Ok, just ignore that $75 list price. Either that's a misprint or someone ingested a controlled substance while typing. These gloves might save you some scraped knuckles or worse while exercising your inner mechanic. They sell just about everywhere for around 20 bucks and they are both functional and add a layer of safety to your project. Wait until they are on special at $15 on Amazon and you'll save both your knuckles and your wallet.

These gloves dod a great job as a motorcycle glove, especially in summer. They are machine washable, super comfortable and allow adequate dexterity for buttons and switches.

First go to Mechanix website and print off the size chart and buy the right size. I have been buying too big of gloves for too long because I thought I had manly large hands...well I only have medium manly hands. I didn't believe the chart so went to a home store tried on the Mechanix gloves in medium and they fit 100 x better than the large.I bought the Camo, all black (stealth) and the coyote of these Mechanix gloves so I can be tacticool! I use them at the shooting range, I use them on cold days as driving gloves. None of the home stores around had the 3 tacticool colors, plus they are cheaper on amazon.com. Now only if they made a pair in multi-cam so when the zombies come at me, they think to themselves...man that guy is all geared out and really cool looking. Then I place one between their eyes due to my awesome weapon control because I am wearing these cool gloves. Plus these gloves will keep your hands clean so when you rescue that hotty from being eaten you can take your gloves off and shake her hand and not worry about giving her cooties.

wonder glove,
This review is from: Mechanix Wear MG-05-010 Original Glove, Black, Large (Tools & Hardware)
I used to use the leather palm type of gloves for working (mechanic), they would start to get dirty and greasy, at which point I would figure they wouldn't last much longer. Once that point was reached I would not be careful about keeping them clean. Soon after that, they would get saturated with grease, or get a hole rendering them worthless. These are a synthetic leather and seem to last forever. I've welded in them, got them super greasy then wiped them off, then continued using and abusing them. I bought another pair to replace them thinking they would get a hole pretty soon. That second pair is still sitting in my tool box unused. The first pair is about 2 years old now, but I don't use them every day. Only when I need the cushioning or splinter protection. So the advantages are, paying a more now for these compared to buying multiple leather pairs. Much better dexterity and feel compared to the leather. Easy on and off. I've even had leather ones give me sort of a hand fungus (jock itch of the hand?). Disadvantages, number one is cost. But if you look, you can find them for [...] bucks. They're not made for welding, so don't pick up something hot. I burned a pin hole in one of the fingers accidently touching the mig wire. Don't get the camo ones. If you leave them sitting somewhere, they'll camoflouge themselves, and get easily lost. My first pair I got blue, second bright yellow.

Amazing Glove, High Recommended,
This review is from: Mechanix Wear MG-05-009 Original Glove, Black, Medium (Tools & Hardware)
This glove is amazing. It's mechanix wear's staple glove. I used it once around my garage and found it to be superior to any other brand. I've used the other gloves like Iron Clad, CLC and Ringers, but Mechanix fits the best. I never had to take the gloves off, not even once, when pulling an engine out of a car. I could feel everything. A++++++ Highly recommended

Excellent glove. Fit like a glove should. It's all true, you can feel everything you're working with. As a result less likelihood of accidents due to slippage.

Great Gloves but Expensive in the long run!,
This review is from: Mechanix Wear MG-05-010 Original Glove, Black, Large (Tools & Hardware)
I really used to like these Mechanix gloves but they wear out faster than any other glove that I have tried. I bought them by the dozen to get a better price and the company will only occasionally stand by their warranty which seems to change quite often.I don't use the gloves for anything unusual, just working on cars, lawn equipment and around the yard. I don't handle anything abrasive so I do not understand why they wear out so fast and I mean fast. In the past 2 years I have gone through probably a dozen of these gloves. The fingers wear right through. But the company does stand behind these gloves. MechanixWear is going to replace the 2 pairs that I have that wore out. If you only occasionally need to wear gloves then these are great gloves. For me I am using some much cheaper (1/3 the cost) gloves that are lasting significantly longer, they are made by ROC from rayon and bamboo with rough texture palms. I bought them for when I go fishing and found they work great around the house but they don't have the tactile feel that MechanixWear gloves do. So I'm going to be saving my MechanixWear gloves for those jobs where I need to have a good grip and still be able to do the small tasks that usually are too difficult for wearing gloves.

Gloves are great, but with only one flaw. I purchased a large for my husband(the size he has worn for years) and these large were not true to size. An ExL would have been better.
