I got this game for my son and I, because it is based on a game that I used to play with my Dad when I was a kid. While my son does not quite have the patience for it yet, I am quite certain we will have hours and hours of fun this summer playing the game, and using the figurines to build our own games later. The figurines are somewhat fragile and easily bent out of shape if played with roughly, but that is to be expected with these types of games. They are readily bent back, but I have a feeling that too much of this will eventually cause them to break. Some of the bases did not readily turn hopefully they get easier with use. I would not recommend this game for younger or rambunctious children. The game offered two teams though they were not evenly matched according to their point system, it was close. There were simple rules to jump right in, and more complex rules for a veteran player. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and look foreward to some quality time with my son.

This set includes two Mechs, two vehicles and six infantry stands, plus dice, measuring tapes, and other play aids needed for pick-up games.

I purchased this starter set for me and my brother to get into mechwarriors and this box set does just that. the rules seem complicated at first but once you get the rules down it's easy and fun to play with. I've had some miniatures from this company in the past they aren't the most durable, but they weren't meant to take a beating anyway. so, i love them and so does my little brother and this box starter set has turned me into the direction of starting a mechwarrior collection.
